Supported plug-ins, sample libraries and file formats for midiflow.
Apple Silicon with macOS 14 or later. Third-party plug-ins need an Apple Silicon build and their own licence.
Use compatible VST3 and AU instruments and effects installed on your Mac. Preset and parameter access depends on the plug-in. Plug-ins that require a running DAW, an online login while rendering or a dongle may not work headlessly.
Tested version 2.0.18 (VST3)
Browse and load .SerumPreset files. Presets from Serum 1 (.fxp) are offered to Serum 2 and checked after loading.
Use the VST3 version for vendor presets; the AU entry points to it. A rejected .fxp needs to be opened and saved in Serum 2 first.
Tested version 1.5.17 (AU)
Browse and load .spf2 presets from your installed banks. Adjust parameters; named modulation targets are available when the plug-in passes its compatibility check.
The adapter targets Spire’s AU version. Legacy .sbf/.spf bank files are not read. Access to banks in Documents requires macOS permission.
Play sample libraries without an extra sampler plug-in. Claude can also build SFZ instruments from your own samples.

Use WAV, AIFF and FLAC samples in an SFZ instrument that Claude creates for you. Keep the sample files with the instrument.
Put libraries in ~/Music/midiflow/instruments or add their folder in the instrument settings. You can also ask Claude to import a library from a download link. ZIP archives are supported.
Kontakt (.nki) and Logic Sampler (.exs) libraries need their own player. Copy-protected DecentSampler libraries are not supported.
The integrated player is currently available only in Claude Code Desktop. Claude Chat offers a limited interface.
